Company History
1987 Kelly Glass founded Kelectric, a company involved in the power, utilities and cable construction industry.
1996 Glass founded Kelcom International Limited with acquisition of CATV license in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, trading as Karib Cable.
1997 Glass wins Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
2002 Due to telecommunications de-regularization throughout the OECS, new opportunities become apparent. Kelcom / Karib Cable successfully negotiates ISP licenses in both St. Vincent & the Grenadines and St. Lucia. Broadband internet service is launched in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
2004 Kelcom International (Antigua & Barbuda) Limited successfully obtains a fixed line cable television license in Antigua & Barbuda. The company starts from ground zero and within eighteen months has constructed cable throughout the majority of Antigua.
2007 Having received its Broadband and Internet license in St. Lucia the previous year Kelcom International Limited formulates agreements with LUCELEC and starts its network roll out. To date over 50% of the populated territory has access to Karib Cable services with the build out spreading to the South of the island.
2009 Kelcom International Limited launches its Fixed Line service in St. Vincent and becomes one of the region's first true Triple Play service providers.
